Narrative: Actually we all relate to this movie. We are all in High school and we know the exact situation that they are in. All of us have our own little groups, or cliques. But really on the inside we know that we are all pretty much the same. The Breakfast Club is one of my favorite movies; this is why i picked it. I love the fact that they picked 5 very different people, to show that if we get to know each other we will most likely all like each other. This scene reflects my life, because i am in High School and I know how they feel, and what is going on. From watching this scene i have learned that people are very judgmental, and that if we get to know each other we can all be friends! :)

The breakfast Club!
Close reading: Characterization. There are 5 students a "jock", a "beauty", a "nerd", an "outcast" and a "rebel". This is symbolizing the different cliques and social classes in high school. All of the students think that they are all very different, but when they get placed in detention and are forced to be with each other for an hour they soon realize that they are all very similar, and have many things in common. In High School, there are many different groups of people, with many differences. As time goes by we learn more and more about each other, and eventually realize that we are all very alike on the inside, but are easily judged as for a different person by our looks and they people we hang out with.
